about

This song was originally a poem about parting ways from a treasured relationship that you know is the right thing to do. In 1999, I submitted it to be published in the 2000 Byron Bay Women's Diary, and it got accepted.

During that year I had the absolute pleasure of meeting George Harrison whilst working on the Gold Coast in a wellness clinic. I shared with him my budding musicianship and he asked if I had any poems I could recite for him. He listened to The Eye in the Yellow Cloud, and said, "that is beautiful, make that into a song". And so I did.

So grateful to have crossed paths with such a gentle soul, thank you George. 20 years on, this is still one of my favourite original songs to share.

From my heart to yours, enjoy.

lyrics

A turquoise sky
Silhouetted mountains
A loving goodbye
Gold energy rising

Pink & blue shall light the way
And whispy clouds are here today

Mother, child, woman one
Join connect with Father sun
Shall you do this who is to say?
With ease & grace that you may

Honour your heart space
Peace you shall find
Then all sadness
Can be Divine

For joy & pleasure are abound
And there is plenty to share around
Just find that Balance from within so without
Four elements inside of you to call upon when in doubt

So celebrate & be happy
To be alive & in the dance
And always remember
That nothing is by chance
Oh nothing, nothing is by chance

A turquoise sky
Silhouetted mountains
